Here’s a few tips to help you with losing your belly.
SUMMER IS COMING…stop making excuses, and start making goals. TAKE ACTION.
1: FIND A NUTRITION PLAN AND STICK TO IT.
Yes, some diets are better than others for certain people, but most diets do work in some degree. A problem I see is that people like to jump from one to another, to another without giving time to the plan they originally started on. Doing this will just confuse you more, and will most likely yield mediocre results if any at all. STICK TO ONE for at least 4-6 weeks before deciding whether or not its working the way you want it to.
2: STICK WITH ONE TRAINING REGIMEN.
The same goes for training. Have a plan of attack. “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” Think about it. Find a program based on your goals, and stick to it.
Hell, I’ll even write one for you.
3: DON’T DO WELL FOR 2 WEEKS, THEN DECIDE YOU CAN CHEAT ON YOUR DIET BECAUSE YOU’VE “EARNED IT”.
Bullshit. You’ve “earned” it when you hit the goal you set. if you want to lose 30 lbs, don’t go on a cake eating binge after you lost 10.
4: STAY AWAY FROM PROCESSED CARBS.
Carbs CAN be good in moderation for muscle function and growth during dieting. I know you probably already know this, but this is still a biggie.
I was speaking to a client at my gym today, and he was telling me he was eating better, or as he put it “Like eating whole wheat bread and stuff.” NEWSFLASH! ALL BREAD IS PROCESSED. STAY AWAY. Unprocessed carbs are stuff that really hasn’t been run through machines (with the exception of oats). Sweet Potatoes, Fruit, Fresh Veggies, Brown Rice.
5. CARDIO, CARDIO, CARDIO.
Yes you can lose weight without cardio. But chances are if you wanna get RIPPED (and you are not a naturally lean guy like myself) YOU MUST DO CARDIO. LIKE IT OR NOT! SO JUST F’IN DO IT. BY THE TIME IT TAKES FOR YOU TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT, YOU COULD HAVE BEEN DONE. For the general Population, it doesn’t matter if you do it in the morning, evening, in between weight sets, after weights, etc. JUST DO IT. (For bodybuilders, and people with SPECIFIC goals in mind, the timing and type is a little different which is gonna have to be a WHOLE OTHER post.)
